ABOUT THE SERIES:
The Mortified Shoebox Show is a comic excavation of the strange
and extraordinary things we created as kids. Witness adults sharing their
own letters, lyrics, poems, journals, lame rap songs, home movies and more.
The debut video series from your BFFs at Mortified, each episode peeks inside people's private histories to offer intimate, irreverent portraits of our collective youth. With a mix of concert clips, animated shorts, interviews and odd archival media, the series offers a snapshot of human history at its most hilarious and harrowing. Stayed tuned.
Like the kids whose lives we capture in our stage shows and books, we anticipate our foray into the video world to have its awkward stages. Some things we'll get right immediately. Some things we'll screw up and learn from. But we're psyched, because puberty wasn't very fun the first time around, and this time, we can at least legally buy Boones wine to tame any depression. We hope you'll stick with us, as we are truly excited to finally show this with our fans new and old.
An independently produced collaboration, season one is slated to last about eight or nine episodes... or honestly, until we collapse from exhaustion. Interested in seeing season two? Us, too. Contact us if you'd like to help facilitate.

ALSO: We've posted a clip of our 2006 animated short, I Hate Drake, too. This clip is not technically part of The Mortified Shoebox Show series, but we're so proud of it, we just wanted to share it. The video features an audio recording of Will Nolan at a Mortified concert in 2003... which was then animated by the amazing Bill Barminski with Chris Louie.
